About Tane
I am a teacher by heart. I taught 9 years in a dual language immersion program as the Spanish component and then went to legal/law enforcement translation and interpretation for 6 years. I enjoy anything having to do with the Spanish language or Latin culture! I lived and went to college in Puerto Rico and for the last 10 years have traveled to Mexico at least once a month.

My role as a teacher is to assist each child in developing their own potential and learning styles. I will present a curriculum that will incorporate different learning styles, as well as make the content relevant to the students' lives.
In a lesson, the teacher's role is to give the students access to information and to guide the student's learning. believe that there are five essential elements that are conducive to learning. Students need to have choices in regards to content and presentation in order to direct their own learning and they need an opportunity to use their new knowledge and skills in practical, every day situations.
It is my goal as a teacher to be able to present my students this type of experience just as I was given when I was in school.
