About Brittany
I am a Spanish teacher with experience teaching introductory though AP Spanish Language & AP Spanish Literature. I have an undergraduate degree in Spanish from Roanoke College, did immersive graduate-level study at Middlebury College and completed a dual Master’s Degree from Central Connecticut State University and Universidad de Salamanca in Spanish Language and Hispanic Cultures. I lived in and worked in Cusco, Peru in addition to traveling to over 13 Spanish-speaking countries on my own and with students. My areas of specialty are grammar and syntax, history, linguistics (phonetics and pronunciation), literature (19th and 20th century) and film. I am a true lover of the language and hope my passion can inspire your own language journey, no matter where you are in the process!

I take on a supportive role when teaching, letting my students be the drivers of their own learning. I think of myself as the bumpers at the bowling alley: my role is to keep my students on on track trough encouragement and guidance. But my students are the ones giving our time together direction with their participation, questions, and engagement. This makes their learning experience more authentic and much more lasting.
