About Abby
I am in my last month of my MA in Translation (Spanish-English) and I have a BSc in Psychology and Spanish, as well as a certificate in Intercultural Communication. I have experience tutoring high school Spanish in an individual and group setting. Not being a native speaker means that I know what it is like to learn Spanish as a second language and I am familiar with the methods used to teach it. The Spanish language is my passion and I cannot wait to share it with you!

Being that there are many components to language learning, I approach each one (reading comprehension, listening comprehension, grammar, etc.) with a different technique. However, a common theme among them all is PRACTICE. For example, to learn grammar in Spanish, there is a lot of memorization involved, which means verb charts and conjugation exercises. Verbal expression, on the other hand, involves a lot of conversation; while listening comprehension includes watching videos, listening to music as well as conversing.

Details
If the location of the lesson is within walking distance (from metro station Place-des-Arts), there is no travel fee. I will also waive the travel fee for lessons that last 2.5+ hours or that are for 2+ students.
