About Emily
I am an Online English Tutor who has been teaching for nearly five years. I have taught for two years online and have worked with adults and children. I have taught over 50 students online and have helped students get admission into International Schools in Hong Kong and get into University in the UK. I have taught in Hong Kong and in Ghana and Zambia.

My teaching method is patient and fun. I make sure that the student speaks the most during our lessons, this is how people learn languages. I am the facilitator, here to help and guide you. I provide instant correction but wait until a student has finished speaking so that it doesn't make the student uncomfortable. I try to cover a topic per lesson for example "school". Within this lesson there will be vocabulary to learn and practise with. There will be a reading and a chance to do some writing practice. There will also be speaking practice each time. For example a typical adult lesson will be as follows: 5 mins (intro/chat) 10 min (vocab = make sentences with vocabulary with grammar check) Vocabulary understanding check with exercises (10 mins) Reading (pronunciation and comprehension 10 mins) Speaking Practice (15 mins) Debate Q (5 mins) Wrap up (5 mins)
