About Teara
Hello my name is Teara. I have been teaching for 10 years and I have found it very important to teach students their learning style as well as tips on learning how to learn. I believe that the purpose of a teacher is to get the student to a place where they are aware and capable to teach themselves what they want to learn. I believe working through motivation by teaching the student, not the curriculum, is the best mode of learning. I have taught in the charter school system in Chicago as well as being a paraprofessional inschools. I also have experience as a one on one in the school and clinical setting. I also hold a certification in behavioral therapy. I believe behavior is communication too, so we should always behave what we want to communicate.
