About Devin
As a licensed high school special education teacher, I am passionate about helping students build the academic and organizational skills they need to feel confident and successful in school. I have extensive experience supporting high school students with executive functioning, reading comprehension, writing, literacy development, study skills, and organization.
I understand that every student learns differently, so I take a patient, supportive, and individualized approach to tutoring. My goal is not only to help students improve academically, but also to help them develop strategies and confidence that will support them long term both inside and outside of the classroom.
I strive to create a positive and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and growing at their own pace. With my background in special education and experience working with a wide range of learning needs, I am committed to helping students feel supported, capable, and successful.

My approach as a tutor is centered around helping high school students build confidence, independence, and strong academic habits. I specialize in organizational skills, executive functioning support, reading comprehension, writing, and literacy skills. I work closely with students to create personalized strategies for time management, task completion, planning, studying, and breaking down overwhelming assignments into manageable steps.
A typical session includes goal-setting, skill practice, guided support, and strategies students can apply independently in school. I focus on creating a supportive and structured environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing confidence in their abilities.
What sets me apart is my experience as a licensed high school special education teacher. I understand how to adapt instruction to meet different learning needs while still maintaining high expectations and helping students develop long-term academic success skills.
My lessons are designed for high school students who need support with organization, executive functioning, reading, writing, literacy development, study skills, and overall academic confidence.
