About Laura

I'm an online teacher of English, science, social studies, and mathematics. I work with any grade level, and I am a specialist (Ed.S) in special education, so every class is completely personalized to who you are, what style of learning you prefer, your interests and any special needs. I excel at teaching reading and with special needs, such as gifted, autistic, ADHD, dyslexia, and other learning challenges. I am excited to meet you and see how I can make learning a more enjoyable and rewarding experience!

About the lesson

My special education specialty (Ed.S.) also helps me to personalize any lesson to work best with your learning style and any special needs. I typically teach both gifted and special needs elementary and middle school students, high school and college students. I am able to work with your specific goals, whether basic (such as reading improvement), or complex (such as thesis writing or standardized test achievement).

Deadly! Laura is an amazing teacher! I credit her for helping to foster a love of reading for my daughter. Deadly! I'm still getting to know Laura, but she was quickly able to assess some basic strengths and weaknesses and work with my student's interests and current set of skills for writing, and then expound on them. My student is 2E, and he loved working with her.
