About Ryan

I am a professional tutor and executive function coach who specializes in working with students who need structured, individualized support to succeed academically. Over the past several years, I have worked extensively with students with ADHD, autism, and other learning differences, helping them build both academic skills and the systems required for consistent performance.

My work goes beyond traditional tutoring. I focus on identifying how each student thinks, where they tend to get stuck, and what specific strategies will help them move forward with clarity and confidence. Many of my students are capable but struggle with organization, task initiation, or follow-through. I help them develop repeatable processes so they can approach their work more independently over time.

I am known for being calm, structured, and highly intentional in my sessions. I hold students to a clear standard while also creating an environment where they feel supported and capable of improving.

My goal is not just short-term progress, but long-term growth in how students learn, think, and perform.

Here’s a refined version **tailored specifically to special education / neurodivergent students**, while still sounding high-level and structured:

---

My approach is centered on helping neurodivergent students build both academic skills and the underlying systems they need to succeed independently.

Many students with ADHD, autism, or related learning differences struggle not because they lack ability, but because they become overwhelmed, get stuck when starting tasks, or don’t have a clear process for how to approach their work. I focus on breaking learning into structured, manageable steps while also building executive functioning skills such as task initiation, organization, and follow-through.

A typical lesson begins with a brief check-in and review of any prior work or challenges. We then focus on one targeted area—such as reading comprehension, writing, or foundational math—using a clear, step-by-step method. I guide the student through practice while helping them understand how to think through problems, not just complete them. Sessions are interactive, supportive, and paced based on the student’s needs.

What sets me apart is my system-based approach. I don’t rely on repetition alone—I teach students how to approach tasks, manage frustration, and build consistency over time.

My lessons are designed for elementary through high school students, particularly those with ADHD, autism, or executive functioning challenges who need structured, personalized support.
