About Wendy
I teach speech and drama because I believe in the power of voice — and in what happens when someone realises their voice matters.
Speech and drama offer more than performance skills. They provide a safe space for confidence to grow, for emotions to be explored, and for individuals to express thoughts they may not yet know how to articulate. I am drawn to teaching this subject because it supports the whole person, not just the performer.
I want to continue to teach speech and drama to help students find courage. Courage to speak clearly. Courage to stand in front of others. Courage to take risks, make mistakes, and try again. These are skills that extend far beyond the classroom or stage.
Teaching drama allows me to nurture creativity while also building structure and discipline. It blends imagination with communication, empathy with clarity. I value the way drama encourages listening as much as speaking, and collaboration as much as confidence.
Most of all, I teach speech and drama because I have seen the transformation it creates — in posture, in expression, in self-belief. When a student realises they can be heard, something shifts. That moment is powerful, and it’s the reason I teach.

As a speech and drama teacher, I offer far more than lessons in performance. I offer a space where voices are discovered, confidence is built, and individuality is celebrated.
In my classes, students learn how to speak clearly and with purpose — but just as importantly, they learn how to be heard. Through speech, movement, and drama, I help students develop self-belief, emotional awareness, and the courage to express themselves in front of others.
I offer a supportive environment where every student matters. Whether a child arrives bursting with confidence or barely able to raise their voice, they are met with patience, encouragement, and respect. Progress is never rushed; it is nurtured. Mistakes are welcomed, because they are part of learning and growth.
My teaching blends structure with creativity. Students gain strong foundations in communication, performance skills, and presence, while also being encouraged to explore imagination, empathy, and storytelling. Lessons are tailored to each individual, allowing every student to grow at their own pace.
Beyond the stage, I offer skills that last a lifetime. Clear communication, active listening, resilience, and self-confidence are tools my students carry into school, friendships, and future careers. Drama becomes a way to understand themselves and the world around them.
