About Priya

Hi, I'm Priya! I grew up with a deep love for the English language — its grammar, its literature, and the way words can transform how we think and communicate. That passion led me to pursue an MA in English, and eventually to the classroom, where I now teach Communication Skills as an Assistant Professor at Chandigarh University.

Before teaching at university, I spent nearly two years writing and proofreading professional content — academic documents, blogs, official letters — which gave me a sharp eye for how English actually works in the real world, not just in textbooks.

I believe that anyone can become confident in English with the right guidance and a little patience. Whether you are a school student nervous about exams, a graduate working on your writing, or a professional who wants to communicate better at work — I am here to make English feel approachable, practical, and even enjoyable.

Hi! I'm Priya — an MA English graduate and Assistant Professor of Communication Skills at Chandigarh University, with over 2.8 years of combined experience in teaching and professional content writing.

I teach:

My background:
I currently deliver lectures on communication skills, professional writing, and academic English at Chandigarh University. Previously, I worked as a Content Writer & Proofreader at Chitkara International School for 1.5 years, creating academic documents, official letters, blog articles, and training content.

I hold an MA in English from PG Government College, Sector 11, Chandigarh, and have completed a Faculty Development Programme on Discourses in Literature (Chandigarh University) and an NPTEL-AICTE certified course in Trauma Literature.

My teaching approach:
I use interactive methods — role plays, group discussions, writing workshops, and real-world examples — to make English practical and confidence-building, not just theoretical.
