About Ophelia

I am a guitar teacher with over 4 years of teaching experience and a Graduate Certificate in Advanced Guitar Studies. My passion lies in helping students truly hear music, not just play it. Ear training is at the core of my teaching. I guide guitarists in transcribing solos directly from recordings. Students also learn how to identify chord progressions by ear with confidence. We work on recognizing intervals, scales, and harmonic movement. Developing strong relative pitch is a major goal. I also support students working toward perfect pitch awareness. Lessons are structured but flexible. I adjust my approach to each student’s learning style. Progress comes through consistent listening and focused practice. I enjoy seeing students gain musical independence. My goal is to help guitarists trust their ears and play freely.

About the lesson

I teach guitar with a focus on transforming ideas into original songs. Students learn how chord progressions shape mood and support emotion. Lessons include songwriting directly on the guitar, lyric writing, and developing melodies. Acoustic arrangements are explored to bring songs to life. Students learn how to balance lyrics and music. I encourage exploration without losing focus. Support is always present. Together, we craft songs that reflect your style. Every lesson is a step toward musical independence.
