About Thibault

THIBAULT MAURIN - PIANIST

After obtaining his master's degree in piano at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris in May 2021 in the class of Denis Pascal, Thibault Maurin continues his studies in London at the Royal College of Music in the class of Dmitri Alexeev. He is supported by the "Gary & Eleanor Brass Scholarship".

As a versatile artist, Thibault has been involved in many collaborations, exploring the solo and chamber music repertoire. His passion for chamber music has led him to perform regularly with the Daphnis Ensemble (Syrinx and Syrinx-en-Ré Festival, Daphnis Festival), most recently at the Lyon Opera in a concert/show based on Pictures at an Exhibition directed by Jean Michel Fournereau.
He also performs in duo with the cellist Léo Guiguen with whom he has shared the stage for various festivals in France, most recently at the Musée des Archives Nationales in Paris (Jeunes Talents) and at the Grand Palais Ephémère (Art Paris2021). Since September 2021 their duo is part of the association Jeunes Talents which organizes concerts and educational actions in Paris and in the regions.

Thibault also performs in recital in prestigious venues such as the Salle Gaveau in Paris. In 2018 he participated in the festival Les Spiriades de la Frette-sur-Seine as part of a concert for young talents. He is regularly invited to perform at the festival A Portée de Mains in Rambouillet and at the festival Piano Passion in Paris.
He has won several international competitions such as the Claude Kahn competition on several occasions and the Chatou competition. He has also been awarded the prize of the young hope at the International Summer Academy of Flaine. More recently, in July 2022, he was one of the winners of the International Piano Competition in Lyon.
He perfects his skills by participating in master classes and academies such as the one at the Saline Royale. Thus, he had the opportunity to work with many international artists: Bernard d'Ascoli, Brigitte Bouthinon Dumas, Vitaly Pisarenko, Jacques Rouvier, Elena Rozanova, Varduhi Yeritsyan, Tatiana Zelikman ...

Also passionate about pedagogy, Thibault has more than 6 years of experience, giving private lessons in music schools.

Hello everyone !

I am Thibault, a French international concert pianist graduated from the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris and currently studying at the Royal College of Music in London.
I offer private lessons at your home or by video for children, adults, all ages and all levels in London.

I propose a method adapted to each student based on a personalized musical follow-up :
Discovery - Methodical learning - Perfection
The original teaching that I provide does not dissociate practice from theory and allows you to acquire the fundamentals of the conservatory without pain or demotivation.
