About Keisha
I am Miss Mercury, a state-certified elementary teacher, and holder of a Master's degree in Childhood Education. My background in education, IEP support, and creating parent-friendly literacy frameworks allows me to break down complex skills into playful, accessible steps that build confidence quickly. Over 2 decades, I’ve developed research-aligned curricula, digital learning tools, and personalized learning plans that help young readers who struggle with decoding, comprehension, or attention. In addition to direct work with children, I’ve guided parents in creating effective home routines that reinforce early literacy milestones. Altogether, my teaching approach blends expertise, patience, and structured support to help emerging readers make measurable progress.

As your Learning Partner, in our Early Literacy sessions, students move from learning about reading to learning to read—and ultimately reading to learn.
I tailor each lesson to their learning style, build on prior knowledge, and empower them to explain their understanding with confidence and clarity.
I support early learners, ages 3 - 8, through foundational literacy development, including phonological awareness, print concepts, letter–sound correspondence, sight words, comprehension, and fluency.
