- Which subject(s) do you teach?
Biology, Chemistry and Maths
- Tell me about your qualifications.
9 GCSEs, 3 A-Levels (Chemistry, Physics and Biology) from Latymer Upper School, a BSc in Molecular Biology from the University of Liverpool, an MSc in biotechnology and a PhD in surface science and microscopy, both from the University of Nottingham.
- How much do you charge?
£30-£40/h depending on level.
- Where do you teach?
I am based in central Ealing (W5). I am happy to travel up to 30 minutes from central Ealing.
- When are you available?
9am – 9pm, 7 days a week.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
Junior, Senior, GCSE and A-level.
- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
Common Entrance, GCSE, A level.
- Describe your arrangements for online tutoring.
I am happy to offer tuition via Skype (with webcam).
- Do you have a personal message for students?
I strongly believe that any concept within any subject can be made not just understandable, but truly fascinating, if approached correctly. As a research scientist I regularly encounter complex and often counter-intuitive ideas, all of which, in the end, were made clear through study and good explanation. This is what I strive to bring to my students as a tutor, in a friendly, relaxed and focused atmosphere.
