About Sy

Mabuhay! I’m Sy, your future favorite tutor with a passion for education and a knack for making lessons fun and memorable. With years of teaching experience, I specialize in turning confusion into ‘aha!’ moments faster than you can say ‘Türkçe öğreniyorum’ (I’m learning Turkish). When I’m not helping students master English, you’ll find me attempting to cook recipes that look nothing like the photos or binge-watching documentaries to sound smarter than I am. Let’s make learning an adventure—you bring the enthusiasm, I’ll bring the snacks (virtually, of course)!

About the lesson

I have a TEFL certification and a passion for teaching that truly came alive while working at a summer camp in Italy, where I taught English to children aged 3-12. Over the course of the program, I gained valuable experience in creating engaging lessons tailored to each student's special needs. My teaching methodology focuses on interactive, hands-on learning that makes education fun and effective. Whether it’s through games, role-playing, or creative projects, I strive to create an environment where students feel confident and excited to learn. My TEFL training equipped me with the tools to design lessons that emphasize communication and real-world application, which I’ve found to be particularly effective for learners. My experience in a multicultural setting also taught me the importance of adaptability, patience, and fostering a positive classroom atmosphere.
