About Natalie
I hold a BM in World Music with a focus on Guitar Traditions and have spent the last 4 years teaching students of all ages. My lessons bring together academic training and practical experience in metal, shred, and progressive rock. I love helping students chase ambitious goals like speed, precision, and advanced shred techniques. Whether it’s sweep arpeggios, tapping, or lightning-fast scales, I show students how to approach each skill step by step. I work equally well with young beginners and adult learners who are serious about progress. My teaching style is encouraging but challenging. I believe in celebrating small wins while building towards big breakthroughs. Lessons always emphasise accuracy first, then speed, to ensure strong foundations. I also draw on my background in world music, adding rhythmic variety and melodic creativity to lessons. Students find my approach both technical and inspiring. My goal is to help every guitarist discover their own expressive power. Playing guitar should feel like both hard work and pure joy. Let’s take your playing to new heights together.

I teach guitar with a focus on warmth, interaction, and clear progress. My main passion is fingerstyle and the art of arranging classical and contemporary pieces for solo guitar. Students work on advanced picking techniques, sheet music reading, and detailed arrangements that bring out the instrument’s full voice. Lessons are built around demonstrations, clear visual explanations, and the discipline of slow, careful practice. These methods create strong technique without losing musical feeling. I’ve worked with dedicated recording artists who need attention to detail and with adults who began later in life but aim for artistry. Both groups find my lessons engaging and encouraging. I take care to balance discipline with creativity in every session. Each lesson builds towards both confidence and musical depth. Students discover that beauty lies in precision as much as expression. I see the guitar as both a technical challenge and an expressive outlet. Together, we’ll explore the true artistry of fingerstyle playing.
