About Wren

With more than 15 years of experience teaching French to college students, I focus on guiding learners with patience, clarity, and motivation. I believe learning a language becomes easier when students feel supported and understood.

My teaching style is friendly, flexible, and well-organised. I adapt lessons based on each student’s learning speed and academic needs. Grammar concepts are simplified, and vocabulary is taught through everyday examples and practice.

I use innovative methods such as scenario-based learning, conversation practice, interactive exercises, listening activities, and real-world examples. Students learn how to use French in college exams, presentations, assignments, and daily conversations.

I encourage students to practise speaking regularly and not fear mistakes. Errors are corrected gently with clear explanations. Regular feedback helps students track progress and stay motivated.

My goal is to help college students become confident, independent French learners.

About the lesson

I teach French with a methodology that combines creativity, critical thinking, mentorship, and accountability. My lessons are interactive and practical, using role-plays, storytelling, dialogues, and cultural exploration to make learning enjoyable and meaningful. This approach helps students develop strong skills in reading, writing, speaking, and listening while retaining what they learn.

As a mentor, I guide students to analyse grammar, vocabulary, and sentence structures critically. They are encouraged to think independently, solve problems creatively, and apply knowledge in real-life situations. This builds confidence and strengthens both academic and communication skills.

Accountability is central to my teaching. I help students set clear goals, monitor progress, and provide consistent feedback to ensure steady improvement. Lessons are tailored to each student’s learning style, pace, and interests, creating a flexible and effective learning environment.

In addition to French, I can teach literature, writing, and general language skills. My goal is to create a supportive and inspiring environment where students not only master French but also develop creativity, critical thinking, and lifelong learning skills.
