About Kayla
I’ve always had a love for reading and writing. I have taught in public schools for several years now, mainly teaching English. Even the years that my main job was not teaching reading and writing, I still included small English lessons throughout my main lessons and worked with small groups to help them come up to grade level in English. I’ve taught middle school English, elementary English, and even the beginnings of English at the Pre-K level, learning the alphabet, sight words, and some phonics. Therefore I feel I am well-versed enough to meet my students at whatever level they are at and help them work up to where they want to be.

My lessons are as engaging as possible and after getting to know each student, tailored to suit individual needs. I meet my students on their level and help them rise to where they should be - and higher. I have a ton of patience and have found that once I figure out how a student thinks and learns, I am able to easily find ways to teach them so that they comprehend the skills we are working on.
