About Gavin
Hi, I’m Gavin. I recently finished my degree in History at the University of Galway, and I’m now offering one-on-one history lessons to help students who want a bit of extra support. I’ve always enjoyed history, but more importantly, I enjoy explaining it in a way that actually makes sense. I know what it’s like when a topic feels confusing or overwhelming — so I take the time to go through things properly, at your pace, and focus on whatever areas you’re struggling with most. I want to help people feel more confident in history, whether it’s understanding the content better or just having someone to talk it through with. If that sounds like something you or someone you know could use, feel free to get in touch.

I know from my own experience that history can feel overwhelming if it’s not explained clearly — my goal is to make it easier, more manageable, and even enjoyable. I will help by tackling what the student finds most difficult and working from there.
