About Yasmina

Hi! I'm Yasmina :)

If you're staring at your homework wondering, "What is this even supposed to mean?", stressing about an upcoming test, or just trying to boost your grades, you're in the right place.

I believe learning shouldn't feel scary, overwhelming, or like watching paint dry. My goal is to help you understand concepts in a way that actually makes sense while building your confidence along the way. I've been a student too, so I understand the frustration of feeling stuck, confused, or convinced that you'll never understand something - only to have it finally click later on.

One thing you'll quickly learn about me is that mistakes are always welcome. Seriously! Making mistakes doesn't mean you're failing; it means you're learning, growing, and challenging yourself. Some of the best learning happens after a wrong answer, so you'll never be judged for not knowing something.

My sessions are relaxed, interactive, and often filled with humour because learning is a lot easier when you're having fun. We'll probably laugh a little, celebrate your wins, and find creative ways to tackle tricky concepts. At the same time, I'll help you stay focused, push through challenges, and keep moving toward your goals.

Whether you're looking to catch up, get ahead, prepare for an exam, or simply feel more confident in class, we'll work together as a team to get you there!

About the lesson

Hello! My name is Yasmina, and I am an educator with Bachelor's degrees in Psychology and Fine Arts. I have several years of experience working with children and adolescents in schools, behavioral programs, and child psychiatry settings.

I offer tutoring and academic support for students in Grades 1–11 in:

• French
• English
• Math
• Science
• History
• Homework support and study skills

My lessons are personalized to each student's needs, learning style, strengths, and academic goals. I believe that every child can succeed when they feel supported, understood, and confident in their abilities.

A typical lesson begins with reviewing previous material, identifying areas of difficulty, and setting clear goals for the session. I then break down concepts into manageable steps, use visual and interactive teaching strategies, and provide guided practice to ensure understanding. I end each session with a review of key concepts and recommendations for continued progress.

What sets me apart is my experience supporting children with:
