About Donald
I have been tutoring English and History since July 2024 and I have since had 9 mentees, all of whom have left satisfied with their results (and a few have even had their siblings leave other tutors to have sessions with me). I would also consider myself to be a History "Nerd" as I enjoy digging into very little-known historical texts such as archival newspapers from the 1800s or looking at historical census documents or urban planning documents dating from the 1910s.

Hello. My name is Donald. I have been tutoring/mentoring English and History since July of 2024. I usually begin lessons with a quick icebreaker and then move into a short purely instructional period of the lesson, which is extremely content-dense, and the rest of the lesson will be letting students try and process the content and make it "work" for themselves with a light guiding hand. I find that I work best with students Grades 5-8. I can also provide advice in applying for the IB Program at Merivale HS or Colonel By SS as well as Model UN (I am currently President of the Merivale Model UN Club and have received several awards in the past).
