About Isobel
I will be an undergraduate student at Nottingham Trent University (September 2021) and have studied both psychology and sociology since starting my GCSE's. After that my passion grew for both these subjects and ended up obtaining an 8 in psychology at GCSE level, a 9 in sociology at GCSE level, an A in both at AS and I am waiting on my A level results. Teaching is something I've always enjoyed doing and I have tutored both GCSE and AS level students in the past two years. The degree I will be working towards is an Honours in Psychology (Mental Health), which I plan to take into further education so I can become a Counselling psychology. My end goal is to help as many people as I can.

My teaching method is very person-centric, meaning I will adapt to your learning style and work on exactly what you struggle with. I approach each topic with the intention of getting you to understand how the different concepts work within the world around you, for if you understand and can recognise these things in real life you are sure to remember them much more easily (plus thats the practical application parts of your essays sorted). Visual teaching and verbal explinations/debates are a big part of the way I teach, for that allows the basic elements to be understood and visualised so you can more confidently start thinking critically when debating with me. Don't worry about saying something 'wrong' for that is how we learn. I can explain and walk you through how to structure your responses to questions and I'll be on-hand whenever you need help, for my main aim as a tutor is to be as much your friend as I am your tutor, for there is nothing worse than feeling you cannot tell someone if you are struggling.
