About Aarav

I am a university student who has studied French to a high level and really enjoys the subject. I know from my own experience that French can be challenging at times, particularly with grammar, speaking and writing, but I also know how much progress students can make with the right support.

I want to teach because I enjoy explaining ideas clearly and helping others feel more confident. I would like to support GCSE and A Level students by making lessons friendly, structured and focused on what they need most.

My goal is to help students improve their French while also making them feel more comfortable and prepared for their exams.

About the lesson

My French lessons are designed to be clear, supportive and exam-focused. I tutor GCSE and A Level students, helping them improve their grammar, vocabulary, speaking, listening, reading and writing skills.

My approach is tailored to each student. In the first lesson, I would identify the areas they feel least confident in and then build lessons around those needs. I use a combination of explanations, practice exercises, conversation practice and exam-style questions. For students, I place particular emphasis on learning the language, rather than simply memorising things, as I believe this is what lets students excel and feel less stressed before exams.

Lessons would typically last one hour, although this can be adjusted depending on the student.

I am studying French and Economics and understand the demands of both GCSE and A Level French, having achieved a 9 and A* for both. Having recently gone through the exam system myself, I can explain topics in a way that is straightforward and relatable for students.

My lessons are best suited to secondary school students, particularly those preparing for GCSE or A Level French.
