About Sophie
I am a university student studying religious and music education and I have had a passion for teaching since I was young. I love musicals, jazz, classical and pop music. Together we can look at the key skills necessary to study music and if availing of recorder lessons I am open to learning and teaching any piece the student would like by first learning basic techniques. when I was first learning recorder I wanted to do the harder pieces as soon as I could and was disappointed if I could not do it right away so I developed my skills so that I could do tricky techniques in less time than usual and I am willing to show you, my student this way too. I want my student to fall in-love with this instrument the way I did !

The student comes first! I will first find out about the students individual interests and communicate essential course requirements through the students interests making learning easier and more individual to the student. I can tutor both leaving and junior cycle students and those with a general interest in music outside of the classroom.
