About Annie

Hi! I’m Annie, a second-year scholarship student currently studying at the Royal College of Music, where I am studying with Sue Thomas, having been a scholar at music school for 7 years studying with Susie Hodder-Williams. I have played in many orchestral settings, such as the Hertfordshire County Youth Orchestra and NCO and have competed in prestigious competitions such as the International Koechlin Competition in which I received an award in the under 18’s category. I was also awarded a prize in the British Flute Society competition 2021 for solo flute, won the Two Moors Way Competition in 2021 and was one of four finalists in the Liverpool International Flute Competition in 2024.

About the lesson

I have a student-led, holistic approach to teaching. I encourage each student to develop their individual sound, focusing on enjoyment whilst still developing and maintaining an excellent technique. I aim to make my lessons fun and tailored to each individual and their needs. Typical lesson length is 45mins/1hour, depending on requirements. Hourly rate is £35. I teach all ages, beginners to intermediate.
