About Ellie
I am a kind and supportive coach. I focus on students having fun but also focus on an understanding of why I do what I do to improve the voice. I think the understanding of the larynx and vocal cords is incredibly important for a singer to understand the importance of a healthy voice at any age. However, I vow to educate students in a way that is fun and educational. I will start with a full body warmup, focusing on breathing and relaxing. I will then focus on getting the voice warm, in fun and wacky vocal warmups to keep the student's attention. I will then focus on any repertoire they would like to sing, as well as suggesting pieces along the way. I will also ask the students to reflect across the week about the lesson to tell me what they want to focus on or do instead.

I will teach correct technique and vocal knowledge and understanding of how to produce notes and sounds correctly. I will work on vowel shape, pitch, and pronunciation, in a healthy and entertaining way, such as singing through a straw, singing on different sounds to help grow and stretch the voice. I am 19 years old, and I have been singing for over 10 years. I have been classically trained but have performed in all genres. I did the HSC in Sydney, receiving an ATAR of 92.5%, with 96% for Music 1, and 98% for performance alone. I am now at WAAPA in Perth, studying a diploma of singing for Music Theatre. I am hoping to continue into a Bachelor of Music Theatre.
