About Patience

Hi! I'm Patience, and I believe that you could be a great writer. We'll get you writing better, faster, and with less effort in no time at all!

I've written 7 novels, (currently editing one of them) finished a book of poetry, (also in the editing stage), and I have received all As in my English courses. In addition, I also received a 790 on the English portion of my SAT. I love helping people reach their full writing potential and realize the magic of what they can write.

Some of my favorite hobbies (other than writing!) include playing piano, learning French, yoga, break dancing, studying MBTI, psychology, cooking, and so much more! The odds are that we might share a hobby in common, so feel free to reach out!

About the lesson

While creative writing and academic writing cover many different disciplines, you can expect:

- Test prep: insider tips and tricks to ace your exams, as well as personalized lessons and study plans to meet your goals before the exam
- Editing help: as an employee of a critique shop for several years, I will help you polish your writing, with focus on everything from tone to vocabulary to fluidity.
- Fun and practical exercises to help ignite a love of writing and help you work on your goals
- Vocabulary boosts and review of and accountability for your personal goals

What sets me apart as a tutor is a fun, engaging, and hands-on way of teaching that ensures that you will never just be "sitting there"- when we work together, you will be learning by doing! In addition, all lessons are customized for you and your goals.

My lessons are ideal for high school students, college students, and authors/poets looking to improve their craft.
