About Julia
I started giving private tutoring lessons ten years ago to students between 10-15 years of age. I tutored in maths, sciences and English and helped my students pass standardised exams. During my university studies I began teaching French to children at an elementary school, where I focused much more on making language learning fun and playful.

I grew up in Stockholm, Sweden, in a bilingual home speaking Swedish and English and I have studied languages my entire life. In 2012 i moved to the US to study for a degree in International Relations. Since, I have lived in Sweden, France, Switzerland and now the UK. I am currently studying for my second Master's degree in International Relations at LSE.
My Swedish lessons are geared towards language students at all levels who wish to improve their oral, written, or listening skills. Whether you grew up with a Swedish speaking parent, spent a few years working in Sweden, are currently studying Swedish or just want to learn the language out of curiosity, I will help you improve.
Depending on your goals I will structure the lessons in a way that suits your needs and will help you achieve your set goals. We may go over homework, practice conversation, or do written exercises together. My ambition is always to make learning fun and encourage my students to get out of their comfort zone.
