About Srikant
Having 28 years of experience on the stage, makes me a versatile musician as well as a good student of music. Thereon I performed with many esteemed musicians as Santoor Maestro Pandit Tarun Bhattacharya, Shwetha Sharma, Afro Percussionist Amara Kante Pramod Umapathi, Brazilian Composer Celia Malheiros, Amir Khan, Ismail Altunabas, Rytis Camaytis, Bea Seavers, Nikhil Patwardhan, and many artists.
Heading from Punjab and Banaras Gharana schools of tabla playing. I have got learning experiences under Guru, such as Ustad Zakir Hussain, and maestros such as Pandit Anindo Chatterjee, Pandit Ramdas Palsule, and performing mentors like Celia Malheiros.
Pete Locket was a great teacher who not only helped me to learn world Percussion but also to learn how to handle and anatomical history of each instrument(Percussion).
I was the youngest to receive the "Child Prodigy Award "in Instrumental Catergory from 11th President of India Dr .APJ Abdul Kalam ,in Dec 23rd 2003 .
I always seek perfection and good justice in music. If it needs to work hard I will but I will see to it that music remains tge top priority. I can portray myself as a hardworker and devotee for music .

As a student I learned under the guidance of Shri Sudarshan Sahoo, and then after completing my Sangeet Prabhakar fromPrayag Sangeet Samiti Allahabad ,I got an opportunity to learn under Ustad Salim Baksh of Hyderabad,s/o the great tabla musician Papa Miyan gradson of Ustad Hussain Baksh . There I learned to become a proficient artist with over knowledge of Rhythm patterns and ornamentation.
I also got an opportunity to learn, a good guidance over Chokhathbaaj, main four styles of Playing Tabla.
Won many awards and accolades during my youthful days. Remained Undisputed winner for 5 consecutive years (2004-07) in All India Multilingual Competition in Instrumental Category conducted by SAIL at Rourkela.
Also have an experience of teaching tabla at Rockon Institute of Music and Arts ,Gachibowli,Hyderabad and still pursuing .
I now run a Gurukul in Serilingampally , Paddhant School of Music to enrich the learning and knowledge sharing of the great tradition of Indian Performing arts .
And Now I practically can play more than 43 instruments in my proficiency in every repertoire in music.

About the lesson

• Initially, the student, before starting his/her classes, has to send a small video of themselves playing to the teacher. through WhatsApp or email.
• The process of learning online is easy, the student would be allowed to avail a mix of 6 (pre-recorded lessons /Live sessions) for the month, on which he has to practice each day and get some proficiency (there is no restrictions on timings in live, but a minimum of 30 mins).
• The student has to pay an advance for 2 months i.e (INR8000 +8000)for Group Classes & (INR 12000+12000) for Individual classes.The pre-recorded sessions shall be provided via an unlisted YouTube link. The progress of the student would be tracked and recorded properly.
• The student needs to practice properly. If any clarification is needed, he can contact the teacher at any point in time. Through a call or WhatsApp.
• If the student is unable to carry classes or unable to complete classes for the particular month he has to pay for the month without any fail . The pre-recorded session would be given continuosly without a break .
• If at all a student needs an additional class for the last month missed class. He would be given the same.
• There has to be a healthy learning between student and teacher, to ensure the progress is good the student has to reciprocate the practice of his video of the particular lesson, sent to the teacher after he has successfully completed understanding the lesson given.
• Please note there is zero refund after a student has commenced the classes with the teacher.
• Please note we do deal with Musical Instruments as required , if a student is willing to purchase any instrument in such.
• Student while coming to the class shall not indulge in malpractice and alchoholic actiVities , yes not even smoking.
• If a student is willing to pay his/her fees yearly they can do it with some concession on the total fees .
• The online live classes would be conducted trough skype or googlemeet.
