About Matthew
My name is Matthew and I have been playing drums since I was 14. Picking the kit up really helped to nourish a love of all different styles of music and has made me a more outgoing person off the kit. I enjoy spreading that love and enjoyment of music to others and helping people on their own musical journey.
I have recently moved to Cork to study after successfully gigging and teaching for a living in the UK. I have played on theater tours and festivals with the biggest tribute acts in the UK, and also arranged my own tours with my originals bands. This has made me a very well-rounded musician with experience in multiple different areas of the music industry, meaning YOU get the best advice possible when taking lessons with me.

As an experienced teacher and active session musician, I deliver lessons that are tailored to your wants and needs behind the kit! I always strive to make sure you take full enjoyment out of not only the drums, but music as a whole. Lessons can be booked as 30/60 minute slots where we will work on your technical and musical growth across a range of styles and playing situations.
I can also help with grade/performance pieces, offer advice on professional playing situations, and guidance in regards to navigating the music industry.
Lessons are taught online or face-face callouts wherever your kit is set up.
