About Michael
Hi, welcome to my profile! I am an internationally-renowned composer, electronic musician and DJ based in Manchester. My teaching approach is very friendly and personable. I will help you develop a singular voice, equip you with valuable skills for your creative process, and always encourage you to think outside the box and be creative. My goal is to empower you, the artist, to be as unique, skilled and well-rounded as possible. I have a broad résumé spanning concert halls and clubs alike, from Royal Festival Hall and Wigmore Hall in London to clubs in Berlin like OHM (a part of Tresor) and Panke. With a career in electronic music as well as contemporary classical music and music for dance/theatre, my work spans many different industries. I want to help you find what makes you unique so you can make the best music possible!

I am proficient with softwares including: Ableton Live, Logic Pro (music production); Sibelius (composition); Rekordbox (DJing); MaxMSP (advanced music production/sound art). Typically, a lesson will be 1 hour. We can change this to fit you if needs be. Please enquire for more details or special requests. Lessons can be for anyone of any age, and are always tailored to your needs. Let's discuss what you'd like to get out of our lessons, and make that happen :) Qualifications: MA in Multimedia Composition: HfMT (Hamburg, DE) BMus (Hons) 1st in Composition: RNCM - Royal Northern College of Music (Manchester, UK) Experience: Composed for acclaimed ensembles in the UK and Europe including Decoder Ensemble (Hamburg), NEKO3 (Copenhagen) and the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain (UK). DJ'd at prolific clubs including OHM (Berlin), Panke (Berlin) and The White Hotel (Manchester).
