About Anna
Hello! My name is Ansunique Henrico, and I am a dedicated and passionate English tutor with over 6 years of teaching experience. I am TEFL qualified and currently studying towards a Bachelor of Education (Intermediate Phase), which allows me to combine practical classroom experience with strong teaching knowledge.
I have worked with a wide range of learners, from young children to school-aged students, and I understand that every student learns differently. My goal is to create a safe, supportive, and encouraging environment where students feel confident to learn, speak, and grow in English.
As a former preschool principal, I bring professionalism, structure, and strong classroom management into every lesson. At the same time, I keep my lessons engaging and interactive, using creative methods that make learning enjoyable and effective.
Students can rely on me to be patient, well-prepared, and fully committed to their progress. I take pride in helping learners build confidence, improve their communication skills, and achieve real results.

I am a TEFL-qualified English tutor with over 6 years of teaching experience, including my role as a preschool principal. My teaching approach is student-centred, supportive, and structured, while still being fun and engaging—especially for younger learners.
My methodology focuses on building confidence first, because I believe students learn best when they feel comfortable and motivated. I use a combination of visual aids, interactive activities, repetition, and real-life examples to help students understand and remember English more easily. I also create and use my own educational resources, which makes my lessons unique and tailored to each student’s needs.
I am fluent in English and Afrikaans, and I can support students in both languages where needed. This is especially helpful for beginners who may need extra explanation and guidance.
In a typical lesson with me, students can expect:
• A warm and friendly introduction to make them feel comfortable
• Clear lesson goals based on their level and needs
• Interactive activities such as speaking practice, games, reading, and vocabulary building
• Correction and guidance in a positive and encouraging way
