About Joseph
As a teacher and tutor I am always personable, friendly and encouraging. I pride myself on my ability to form excellent relationships with students which in turn brings out their best work.
I'm an avid reader and a keen historian. I'm interested in learning more about people and the world through books and through travel.
I am currently living in London, and working remotely and flexibly for an education charity.
I'm also a keen runner, hiker and chess player.

I'm an experienced teacher and tutor. I pride myself on my warm, friendly and patient manner.
I believe in creative and student-centred approaches to learning and the critical importance of building confidence and skills as well as content knowledge.
I have two years of classroom teaching experience, delivering secondary English courses from Year 9 through to Year 12. I also have experience tutoring reading, writing and literacy to a range of secondary levels.
I achieved A grades in History and English Literature. I have a degree in History from a Russell Group university, and a Masters in Teaching.
I am very flexible regarding lesson timings, from half an hour upwards.
I offer tutoring in English and History at all levels including GCSE and A Level, as well as general tutoring for essay writing or exam preparation.
