I teach Italian as a part-time job since I study full-time. Italian is my first language so I can give lessons to a large variety of students through many different approaches.

About Priscilla
As I have learnt English as I foreign language myself when I was quite young, I believe that I know many ways to teach my own mother tongue to foreign students, since I have been in their position before.
Since my high school was specialised in foreign languages, I have experienced a lot of different methods to study them and I will be able to apply my knowledge to my teaching. For example, thanks to my school, I have been on some exchanges in France and Spain, where we attended language lessons taught by mother tongue speakers. Here I learnt many ways in which a language can be taught and I am confident that I can apply these methods to my own tutoring.

I am currently studying at university in London, but I have previously studied languages in high school in Italy.
I lived in Italy most of my life, so my mother tongue is Italian, but I am also fluent in English.
My passion for languages started quite early during my childhood, and since then I have loved teaching and transmitting my interest about different languages and cultures to other students.
Teaching must be fun for students in order to make them learn. I think using quizzes for vocabulary and active recall for grammar rules can be some very important techniques to use while studying languages.
Another method which I like to use is practicing real-life conversations, as I think the best way to learn a language is to try and speak it.
I tell my students not to worry about making mistakes because this is most likely the only method to learn languages.
As I am currently studying at university, I am constantly experiencing different approaches to teaching that I can then use and apply to my own tutoring.
