About Malachi

My name is Malachi Williams, also known as Mr. Williams, I’m from Martinsburg, West Virginia. I am currently a student at Virginia State University and a proud member of the Trojan Explosion Marching Band, one of the nation’s #1-ranked Division II HBCU bands. With over eight years of musical experience, I’ve performed in various ensembles, including marching band, jazz band, show choir, concert band, and even founded my own group. I have a strong passion for teaching and extensive experience helping others improve their musical skills. I’m now offering tutoring to help aspiring musicians reach their full potential in both performance and academics. My goal is to inspire growth and excellence in every student I work with.

About the lesson

Hello I am Malachi Williams (Mr. Williams) and In our time together, we will explore key musical fundamentals tailored to your skill level and grade. My goal is to help you excel in any ensemble you join by enhancing your technique and overall musicianship. Whether you play trumpet, French horn, or mellophone, I bring professional experience to every lesson, ensuring consistent effort and growth. Beyond performance, academic success is crucial — strong grades open doors to valuable scholarships. We’ll also discuss pathways to college band programs and what it takes to play at a professional level. This is your opportunity to grow as a musician, scholar, and individual. Let’s make the most of it!

Malachi is a trustworthy teacher because he is a caring person. Very patient when it comes to learning different techniques and ranges of the instrument. Very relatable to younger students as one himself in process of college obtaining degree. I fully support and grantee his capabilities as a music teacher.
