About Della
I am a dedicated K–6 literacy tutor with a passion for helping students unlock their full potential. As a neurodivergent learner myself, I understand firsthand that every student processes information differently. I use that personal insight to create a supportive, high-energy environment tailored to each child’s unique needs.
I specialize in foundational literacy—including phonics, reading comprehension, spelling, and writing—utilizing evidence-based programs like Core Knowledge and UFLI. Beyond our sessions, I provide custom worksheets and activities to ensure skills are reinforced at home.
Currently, I am pursuing my degree in Education through Grand Canyon University (GCU), where I am constantly refining my teaching strategies. When I’m not in the classroom, I’m an athlete. My background in sports taught me the value of teamwork, practice, and goal-setting—qualities I bring into every lesson to help your child build lifelong confidence in reading and writing.

I provide engaging K–6 literacy lessons designed to build essential skills that set students up for lifelong success. My sessions focus on phonics, reading comprehension, spelling, vocabulary, writing, and short story creation. Using structured programs like Core Knowledge and UFLI, I tailor each lesson to the individual needs of each student, helping them gain confidence and improve their reading and writing abilities. I also provide worksheets and activities that students can complete at home to reinforce what they learn in each lesson.
Even though I’m a young teacher, your child will see real growth in their literacy skills. During each 30–45 minute session, students participate in interactive and hands-on activities such as reading short stories, answering comprehension questions, practicing new vocabulary, and writing sentences or short stories. Lessons are fun, meaningful, and designed to make learning enjoyable while giving your child a strong foundation for future academic success.
