About Joe
Having graduated from Exeter University in 2007 with a degree in French and Spanish, with an (Erasmus year at La Universidad de Granada), I have gone on to live and teach English in Andalucia, Cataluña, and Madrid, and then five years living and working in Colombia. It was here that I set up my own language school and worked for the Secretaría de Educación de Boyacá on their Bilingualsim program. My methodology involves making the language didactic and using props as a way of making the lessons more "life-like". I think it's important to bring some humour to the class so that sessions are more memorable and students will remember vital vocabulary, syntax or grammar through the medium of having fun. The importance is on the learner, and the teacher is just a facilitator. My aim is for the learner to gain more and more confidence in the foreign language by showing them the important tricks of immersing themselves away from the classroom.
