About Racquel

Academic English (beginner, intermediate and advanced) for all age groups for more than 10 years. Experience in several methodologies such as communicative approach, audio-lingual, grammar-translation, structural approach, TPR, natural approach, direct method and bilingual teaching. Teaching of instrumental English (reading techniques for candidates for masters, doctorate and competitions), preparation for interviews in English and travel. My students and alumni have passed proficiency and competition tests as well as great success in their travels and interviews.

About the lesson

Hello! All right? I have been teaching English for 10 years and have had the chance to experience the most diverse realities and contexts in the classroom. From 4-year-olds to the elderly over 80, I have taught all age groups. I also have experience in different types of methodology and I am always ready to adapt the classes to the learning style of each student; since this must be respected and encouraged for efficient and effective learning. I strongly believe that there is no real learning without the concrete practice of what is being studied. So, I always add moments of practical classes to the class schedule. In my career with English, I had the opportunity to travel twice to work for the US: the first for Disney and the second as a crew member for Royal Caribbean International. In our first class, I will interview you to assess your level, and we will also discuss issues such as timelines, calendars, and methodology. This is fundamental for the course to be designed in order to achieve precisely its objectives!
