Kristine Skarsvåg Tel: (concealed information) Mail: (concealed information) Subjects: English and history mainly, but also economics and Spanish. I am a teacher with a masters degree in English linguistics and history as a second subject. I also have 40 credits in economics, completing a bachelors degree in economics this year. Have been teaching a lot, both in teacher practice and as a substitute teacher at various levels.

I base much of the teaching on talking, especially in English lessons this is very important. Discussions, talking about topics, and it is very important that it should not be scary to talk and that making yourself understood is the most important thing. Students should be allowed to think and talk about things they are interested in. When it comes to history, I think it is important that students see their own place in history, and that they get to know history, not just memorize a lot of years and names. All of this I believe contributes to the students´ education.
