About Mira

Ukrainian. Graduated with honors from the best music educational institution in my country - the Kyiv Municipal Academy of Music named after. R.M.Gliera. I teach piano, music theory, solfeggio. I was born in the capital of Ukraine, Kyiv. I have been involved in music since birth, because my whole family is musicians. I have been playing the piano since I was 5 years old. During my studies, I participated and won various competitions: from regional to international. I started teaching piano in 2012, so I have more than 10 years of teaching experience. From 2017 until now this has been my main activity. I am sure that my calling is to teach, because I love helping people make their musical dreams come true, motivate them and find strength for their own creativity. In addition to music, I seriously engage in sports, and I am interested in psychology and journalism (I have a second higher education in Ukraine).

About the lesson

I teach in spoken English, fluent Ukrainian and Russian. There are students in Canada, Ukraine and Belarus.

I teach piano, music theory, solfeggio.
As a bonus, if desired, we leave time to improve diction, rhythm, and vocal exercises. I approach each student with special attention, patience, and interest in the result thanks to an individual approach.

I teach both children from 7-8 years old (if the child is independent and interested, then from 5-6 years old), and adults (without age restrictions; the maximum age of the student was almost 60, I studied from scratch).

I have experience as both a tutor and the only main teacher. I teach both from scratch and help to remember long-forgotten things and improve the level at which you are right now.

During classes, I select the program individually for each student, based on wishes, seriousness of intentions and goals.

In addition to playing the piano, I give theoretical knowledge on solfeggio and music theory. The emphasis is on the student being independent and understanding the textual musical content without constant assistance. And so that playing the piano would be a joy, not a chore.
