About Shimmy
I am a passionate and patient educator who believes that strong foundations shape a child’s future. With experience teaching primary students in BM, English, and Science, I enjoy guiding young learners to understand concepts clearly and grow in confidence.
I want to teach because I genuinely enjoy seeing students improve — especially when a child who once struggled begins to understand and participate confidently. Teaching allows me to make a positive impact, not just on grades, but on a student’s mindset and self-belief.

I believe every child can improve with the right guidance and encouragement. My approach is simple, structured, and supportive. I break down topics into easy steps, use real-life examples, and guide students through practice until they truly understand — not just memorize.
I focus on building strong foundations in reading, writing, and understanding concepts, especially for BM, English, and Science. I also prioritize confidence. When students feel safe to ask questions and make mistakes, they learn faster and perform better.
My goal is not only better grades, but helping students become more confident, independent learners step by step.
