About Katie
I have over twenty years of teaching experience. I've been a student of art and music my entire life, and find it very rewarding to serve as a mentor, sharing these passions with others.
I've taught music for over eight years now, with people of all ages and abilities. This includes piano, guitar, violin/fiddle, voice, ukulele, and songwriting. In fact, some of my current students are those I started with eight years ago!
I've performed as a fiddler and vocalist for over fifteen years, have had the opportunity to songwrite and record original music, and to do a bit of touring. I perform all styles of music, and will be excited to learn of your favorite music as well!

Hi! As your mentor, I will help guide you to meet your personal music goals. I believe we all learn differently and have unique strengths. My students inspire me to be a braver musician, as well expose me to new music and ways of thinking.
We will learn your favorite songs, integrate ear training, technique, and a bit of theory, so we can understand how the music you love is made! :)
