About Syeda Khalida
I am a level 3 Teaching Assistant currently working with upper KS2 children and am passionate about helping children to get Yr6 SATs ready. I regularly Teach both Literacy and Numeracy and love to see the progress children make. Some children simply need just a helping hand for them to boost their confidence in the subject they are struggling with, and in turn you will see your children fly high. I work with lower ability groups of children to help them to overcome their worries and to assist them with the work to reach their full potential. I am able to build great bonds with the children and often find them coming directly to me for help when needed. This gives me a great deal of satisfaction as I feel I am able to help them to ease their anxiety and worries.

My Teaching method is child centred and usually involves getting the children to actively take part in the lesson and to interact, which helps me to ensure all children are listening and have understood. I also like to keep the lessons quite humorous to help children to engage as I feel children learn best when they are happy and having some fun along the way.
In terms of recording their work, they will be asked to write down in a notebook their questions and answers, which I will mark and give feedback on. I will be differentiating work to ensure the children receive work which is suitable to their level and will plan accordingly focussing on any areas which need an extra lesson or revisit.
