About Emily
Hi Everyone! My name is Emily, and I graduated on the Dean's List with a Master of Arts in Political Science at a top 10 Canadian University. I have experience teaching, both in person and online. I specialize in the Social Sciences, however I would also gladly help any students in the STEM field that need some help with their writing skills (and I would highly recommend it!).
I was nominated two years running for the Graduate Teaching Award at the institution I studied at, I thoroughly enjoy teaching.
Happy to help with homework, assignments, studying for exams, and anyone seeking mentorship related to my field of study. Also happy to do literacy and oral communication for ESL students!
In my free time I make pottery, love hiking, and spending time with my cat named Bear (who I'm sure you will meet virtually!).

I believe in learning at your own pace, and focusing on upcoming tasks, homework, and assignments to prevent a student from feeling overwhelmed. I was in your shoes once!
If you choose me as your tutor we will first:
- go over your goals, what do you want to get out of our sessions?
- assess your current abilities
- come up with a lesson plan together (everyone is different!)
I cater to individuals at the high school, university, and post-graduate level. I am happy to tutor ESL students!
(Note for post grads: I may not have specific knowledge of your field of study, however I do have technical writing knowledge geared towards the social sciences)
