About Sam

I have additionally studied at Sonoma State University and West Valley College. I received the Dwight Cannon Scholarship Award at San Jose State University and received a composition award at the London Independent Film Festival. I look forward to getting you to where you want to be with your writing and English goals! :)

About the lesson

I see the importance of sharing the lessons of English with other people and how much learning English can benefit peoples' lives. Some of my students have gone on to pursue English as a career and at university, while others have found it to be a great way to express themselves and learn a new skill outside of their career. I approach lessons with a student-first mentality. It is important to find out the student's interests and motivations in learning, as this will help guide the journey they will go through to learn. Someone who wants to learn creative writing may have different priorities than someone who wants to learn inventive writing. However, there will always be fundamentals that apply to all students such as syntax and style.
