I'm a transgender performance artist and experimental publisher based in Devon. I'm also very good at computers. While studying at different universities, I researched the intersection of software and art. I'm patient, kind and I listen attentively. I teach online and in person.

Linux is a beast which places you at the helm. It gives you power and freedom to compute how you want to. Are you looking to become an expert in this operating system? Linux is open source, yet difficult to get to grips with. The code which makes it run is openly accessible and yet inaccessible to many people. You can do anything with it, yet knowing what to focus on can be overwhelming. As a tutor, I focus on using clear, accessible, and simple language to explain technical matters. My methodology reflects up-to-date, critical discourse around the politics of free / libre / open source software. The lessons typically last an hour and will be useful for university students looking to advance their computational skills and knowledge.

Riviera Taylor (she / her / hers) is a tech-savvy artist with an affinity for Linux. She holds two degrees: a BA, having graduated with First Class Honours from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in 2023.
