About Selin

I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Performance and have 5 years of experience teaching guitar to students of different ages and abilities. My academic training included solo performance preparation, ensemble collaboration, and detailed music analysis. These experiences strengthened my understanding of timing, harmony, and expressive interpretation. Throughout my teaching career, I have guided beginners building basic skills as well as intermediate learners refining technique.

My teaching philosophy focuses on structure, patience, and steady development. I believe students improve best when lessons are organized and goals are clear. Many learners appreciate my calm explanations and step-by-step demonstrations. I carefully adjust lesson content based on individual progress and comfort level. Building confidence alongside technical skill is always an important part of my approach.

Outside of teaching, I continue practicing advanced repertoire and exploring different music styles to refine my skills. Ongoing learning allows me to bring fresh ideas into lessons. Watching students progress from simple exercises to confident performances gives me great satisfaction. My long-term aim is to inspire discipline, creativity, and lasting passion for guitar music.

About the lesson

My guitar lessons are structured to build clean technique and steady rhythm from the beginning. We start with correct posture, balanced hand placement, and relaxed finger movement to avoid tension. I guide students through chord clarity exercises and smooth transition drills to improve sound quality. Strumming patterns are practiced slowly with counting methods to develop accurate timing. Each lesson begins with warm-up exercises that improve coordination and finger strength before moving into song practice. I explain every step clearly so students understand how technique improves musical expression.

As students gain confidence, we work on scale development, picking accuracy, and dynamic variation. I introduce exercises that strengthen finger independence and tone control. Learners study song structure to understand how chords, rhythm, and melody connect. Improvisation practice is gradually included to encourage creativity and listening skills. For performance preparation, we rehearse complete pieces without stopping to improve concentration and stage confidence. Clear practice instructions are provided to support consistent improvement at home.

My goal is to help students become disciplined and expressive guitar players. I provide constructive feedback in a supportive and motivating manner. Over time, learners improve rhythm stability, tonal clarity, and overall performance confidence. I aim to create balanced lessons that combine technical growth with enjoyment of music.
