About Pamela
I have been studying languages for over 20 years, with my latest language being Ukrainian, so I understand the challenges and frustrations that language learners may have.
I graduated with my 120-hour Level 5 TEFL teaching certificate in December 2024, and since then, I have over 1200 hours of online teaching experience with 23 5-star reviews.
Over the past year, I have taught Legal English, English for writing a Master's Degree thesis, Conversational grammar, job interview preparation, presentation preparation and other specialized topics that my students request.
My favorite part of this job is when I can help students feel confident about something that they previously struggled with. (For example, my Brazilian student struggled with the pronunciation of 'queries' and we focused on the phonetics for 5 minutes before she was able to pronounce it perfectly). I take the time to truly understand your learning goals, as well as create a syllabus that you are happy with. I also adjust our lesson plans if we need to focus on specific skills that you are not feeling confident in.
I create different syllabi based on your goal, whether it's for a job interview, presentation at work, or a specific target score on an English language exam (e.g., a 7.5 on the IELTS speaking exam). You always have an input, by telling me before class if you want to focus on a specific skill that you are not happy with.
I prepare materials that are as specific to your learning needs as possible. For example, if you need to prepare for a job interview in real estate, I will prepare some materials on different construction locations to ask you what are the positives and negatives of using that type of location.
