About Becca
My name is Becca, I've been an ESL teacher for 13 years. My journey began teaching in China, and continued back in Canada where I focused on adults and practical business English. I have knowledge in different teaching styles, and can adapt to my students' learning abilities. I am also a published author, so I can teach creative writing as well as more technical writing. Whether it's for college exams, a promotion or new work responsibilities, we can work to get your English to the level you want.

Welcome! I'll be your guide on your English journey. Our lessons will be broken into 3 parts:
Learning new material
Practice exercises
Practical application (conversation or reading comprehension)
Tailored to your needs, we will learn with visual and oral materials.
For example:
Learning the present progressive:
I would teach the notion, giving examples and a thorough explanation.
We would then do written exercises, correcting sentences or using them with our other tenses.
This would be follow with making sentences, and reading an excerpt to find and compare the progressive tense. Finally we would discuss current hobbies or activities to use it in action.
The lessons can be tailored to your interests and needs, which we can discuss in our first class.
