About Alex
I am a language lover who is bilingual in Japanese and English. I gained much of my teaching experience in Ibaraki, Japan, where I lived for over two years as a teacher in local schools. I also am an avid runner and reader with a huge passion for music and films!

I utilise a variant of the Natural Approach to language learning, which focuses less on rigorous grammar and vocabulary drilling and more on natural conversations and language use through activities that stir the interest and imagination of the student(s). I make detailed assessments of each student’s ability and tailor a bespoke study plan that will ensure strong progress over the long term.
